The Football for Hope Festival 2010 took place from July 4 to 10 in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Football for Hope Festival 2010 celebrated the power of football to achieve social change. During the final two weeks of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, 32 teams of young people from disadvantaged communities around the world came together in Johannesburg for a festival of education and culture that culminatd in a football tournament in a specially-constructed stadium in the community of Alexandra from 4-10 July.
