streetfootballworld network members WhizzKids United, The Kids League and Grupo Desportivo de Manica have been selected by streetfootballworld, Sony Europe and Impact International to receive support in improving their leadership and operational capacity.

As part of streetfootballworld’s partnership with Sony, streetfootballworld network members were invited to apply to participate in the Sony Leadership Development Programme, which pairs organisations with key management from Sony Europe in order to help them cultivate the capacity they need to respond effectively to challenges facing growth and development.

Fifteen organisations applied in October 2009 to work with a group of Sony managers who have recently completed the Sony Leadership Development Programme to build their leadership and management capabilities.

streetfootballworld’s network members won’t be the only ones to reap the benefits of this partnership; Sony participants look forward to being inspired by the work and vision of the three organisations and bringing new ideas back to Sony.

The six-month programme will be launched with face-to-face meetings in Lyon, France on February 8-9.
