The Beyond Sport Awards celebrate and support any individual or group, whether grassroots or global, with the goal to drive positive change through sport.

Eleven awards will be presented in 3 sections—Foundation Awards, Corporate and Federation Awards, and Judges’ Awards—as the culmination of the Beyond Sport Summit on July 8-9, 2009.

The Beyond Sport Foundation Awards
Not-for-profits, NGOs, charitable organisations and social entrepreneurial organisations are eligible for the Beyond Sport Foundation Awards, which are:

• UNICEF Children’s Rights Awards
• Best New Project
• Best Project for Health
• Best Project for Social Inclusion
• Sport for Peace Award
• Best Project for the Environment
  

Winners in these categories will receive funding and long-term support to enable them to become fully sustainable.

Not just a trophy
All winners will receive the following:

• An invitation to the 2009 Summit in London, including flights and accommodation
• Access to Beyond Sport’s global network of international sports organisations, company leaders and political figures
• Opportunities for business mentoring and to join an influential group of social entrepreneurs working in sport
