streetfootballworld has been named one of the “365 Orte im Land der Ideen” (365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas) by Germany - Land of Ideas. The initiative, in partnership with Deutsche Bank and under the patronship of German President Horst Köhler, recognises companies, institutes and projects that demonstrate creativity, expertise and passion and therefore best represent Germany’s multifaceted potential as a place of innovation.

Mark your calendar: May 28, 2009
Of 2000 applications, 365 ideas (one for each day of 2009) were chosen. streetfootballworld was selected to represent Germany on May 28, 2009 for its groundbreaking work in using football as a tool for positive social change.

A panel of 18 judges picked the winners from seven categories, including sport and tourism, education and youth, technology and industry, and environment and energy.  The winning concepts will also be published as a ‘travel guide’ by DuMont. The book, “365 Orte – Eine Reise zu den besten Ideen Deutschlands” (“365 Landmarks – A Journey to the Best Ideas in Germany”), will be available in German bookstores from January 2009.

Germany – Land of Ideas is an initiative that aims to showcase a wide variety of innovative German projects and ideas from the fields of science, technology, the arts and beyond.
