streetfootballworld is looking for a Media Manager to develop its media activities before and during the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
Specific tasks include:
Development and implementation of the organisation’s media strategy for 2010, considering the special moment of the FIFA World Cup and the Football for Hope Festival 2010, incl:
- implementation of media activities and events
- development and coordination of media partnerships
- maintenance and development of media contacts
- administration of the media and photo database
- development and coordination of press releases and other communication tools
- website management
The ideal candidate would have:
- university degree or similar qualification, preferably related to Communications, PR or Journalism
- work experience in Communications, PR and/or journalistic work
- familiarity with and passion for the sport sector and/or the development cooperation sector
- fluent in German and English and preferably at least one other language
- ability to work independently and in an international team
- strong media network, preferably international
Location: Berlin, Germany, and Johannesburg, South Africa (during the festival)
Start: immediately
Duration: end of August 2010 with possibility of extension
Job type: initially part-time with increase to full-time
