Young leaders from five streetfootballworld network members in three continents will meet for a week in Kigali, Rwanda for a common film and photography documentary project entitled “Encounter through Street Football – Together we can!” The project is part of the International Learning Cooperation, a concept developed by streetfootballworld network member KICKFAIR and its international partners. Young people from Centro para el Desarrollo de la Inteligencia (Paraguay), Cre-Arte (Argentina), Espérance (Rwanda), Formação (Brazil) and KICKFAIR (Germany) are working locally on a joint documentary which focuses on the lives of young people from each organisation. All from disadvantaged backgrounds, the young leaders will be telling their stories through their common love of football, showing their individual backgrounds and how the sport changed their lives. They will also describe their shared visions, the difficulties they had to overcome together, how they found solutions and the impact the project has had on themselves and others. The documentary will be written, filmed and edited by the young people themselves, with support from multimedia experts. Premiere at the Football for Hope Festival Football for Hope, the German government, Sony, the Minister for Sport in Rwanda and the German Embassy in Kigali are all supporting the Encounter through Street Football. The streetfootballworld network Over the years, the organisations have made the most of opportunities provided by streetfootballworld to meet each other and build the idea of a common project, including festival 06 and the Football for Hope Forum in 2009.
