For the fourth time in the last three years, streetfootballworld network members and other selected organisations in the field of Development through Football were invited to present innovative project ideas to win support from Football for Hope. Football for Hope Programme Support helps initiatives that sustainably strengthen the development of the organisation applying for aid. This support lasts for up to one year and each organisation may receive up to USD 30,000. Applications are assessed and selected by a combined team from FIFA and streetworldfootball and the funding itself is provided by FIFA as part of its social responsibility strategy. A wide range of projects are receiving aid in this latest round of Programme Support. In Rwanda, for example, a new project combining football and theatre will be established, aimed primarily at getting women and girls more and more involved in the programmes held there by the organisation Espérance. In Chile, the Edugol programme run by the Fundación Educere is expanding geographically, hoping to reach children in a further eight Chilean cities with the help of Football for Hope. Australia’s Football United, meanwhile, will use the funding it recieves to develop its curriculum and improve support for young immigrants in Australia. Football for Hope supports social development all around the world.
