Mar 172009 | Football for Hope Forum 2009 on the horizon

In just over two months, the most influential conference in Development through Football will gather practitioners and stakeholders to explore the commitment of football to social development and determine the way forward for the field.

An official event of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009, the Football for Hope Forum 2009 will take place in Vaal, South Africa from June 23rd to 25th.

The forum is hosted by FIFA, the 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee, and streetfootballworld and will feature workshops, panel discussions and training sessions on issues ranging from sustainable HIV/AIDS prevention through football to the relationship between social development and talent identification.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a nearby Football for Hope implementing organisation in order to witness firsthand the impact that the sport can have on people’s lives.
