streetfootballworld network member Asociaciòn Civil Andar – Granja Andar, with its project ‘Catering Integral Delicias de la Granja’, was chosen as one of 44 finalists in the fundraising competition ‘Development Marketplace – Latin America and the Caribbean’. The competition is being organised by the World Bank and various partners. Thanks to its nomination, Civil Andar now has the opportunity to present itself and its project to the general public and a jury at an event in Bogotá, Colombia being held April 11-14. This will also provide the organisation with a great opportunity to make new contacts and take part in workshops focusing on topics such as knowledge exchange. Asociaciòn Civil Andar – Granja Andar aims to fully and equally integrate disabled people into Argentinean society. In addition to the integrative street football league, the organisation also offers business programmes such as their World Bank nominated catering service, which enables both people who are disabled and those that are not to work and learn together. Raul Lucero from Civil Andar is overjoyed about the nomination: “We’re very proud and want to participate with everyone and all the organisations who are working with us to fulfil the vision of an integrative society and to offer development opportunities for neglected and at risk groups.” streetfootballworld congratulates all the participants on this wonderful success. |
