The adidas Exchange Programme is about to continue a series of peer-to-peer exchange meetings and professional football coaching sessions that will bring together over 40 streetfootballworld network members across four continents over the next two months.
The adidas Exchange Programme provides streetfootballworld network members with a unique opportunity to meet face-to-face and develop the expertise and capacities that are vital for ensuring that programmes and operations run smoothly.
The initiative is part of the FIFA Partners CSR Programme, a collaboration between adidas and FIFA that is implemented through Football for Hope, a movement led by FIFA and streetfootballworld which uses the power of the beautiful game for social development.
Building expertise in West Africa
Representatives of 13 streetfootballworld network members from all over West Africa will come together October 27-29, 2010 in Bunso, Ghana to receive professional training from external experts.
One part of the session will focus on capacity development, with workshops and panel discussions on resource mobilisation, fundraising and employee development. The other part will consist of Coerver Coaching sessions aimed at developing football coaching skills.
The innovative mixture of professional training in both organisational development and football coaching will empower the organisations to develop their business expertise and improve their training sessions in order to attract, motivate and retain young participants.
Over 40 network members will participate
The adidas Exchange Programme will continue with upcoming sessions in India, Israel/Palestine and Argentina. Every session is hosted by local streetfootballworld network members and serves not only to disseminate information, but also to unite organisations in the region.
The programme offers a perfect opportunity to connect organisations working in the same area and help them strengthen their work on the ground.
