South East District Youth Empowerment Association (SEDYEA) aims to create a committed, informed nation that deals effectively with HIV/AIDS and other socio-economic issues. Through sports and education, SEDYEA empowers and supports young people on their way towards responsible, creative action in community development. SEDYEA runs football leagues, tournaments and educational activities in South Eastern Botswana, all of which are led by young leaders and designed to promote life skills and safe sexual behaviour. SEDYEA also runs a peer leadership and life skills project which organises sports and life skills education activities in schools and communities, as well as the Kgatelopele Safe Spaces Programme for young women.
