PACGOL is active in Pedro Aguirre Cerda, a poverty-stricken suburb of Santiago de Chile. Since its foundation in 2007, PACGOL has been using Fútbol Callejero (Street Football) to help young people develop personally and contribute to the social transformation of the community. Fútbol Callejero is widely used in South America and is characterised by the absence of referees and a strong emphasis on dialogue.

PACGOL relies entirely on volunteer and community support. To empower community members to run the project on their own, PACGOL has developed different participant profiles that allow everyone to increase their responsibility within the organisation, thus actively promoting youth and community leadership.
