Christian Home in Liberating Destitute (CHILD) strives to build an inclusive environment for children and adults who are stricken by poverty, marginalisation, abuse, exploitation and violence. The programme promotes sport as a vehicle for renewal, peace, conflict transformation and healing between people and their communities.

CHILD builds on the knowledge and skills of communities’ young people to raise awareness of social imbalances, harmful cultural practices and children’s rights. Through the programme, young people are empowered by leadership training and conflict resolution skills to sustain their activities, which include youth exchange camps, a female dance club and football tournaments.
