Altus-Sport-Vuma aims to accelerate the dissemination of successful ideas and programmes; encourage innovation, local ownership and entrepreneurship; stimulate youth empowerment through sport, with a special emphasis on empowering girls; and create a supportive environment for the sport for social change movement in South Africa. The Life’s a Ball programme trains Youth Sport Leaders in basic coaching, leadership, life skills programmes, innovation, business and social entrepreneurship. Emphasis is placed on personal development, education and employability. The pupils then become the teachers, offering sport-based lessons addressing health, environment and ethics in primary schools and community sport centres. Document Actions
