The Al Quds Association for Democracy and Dialogue (AFDD) was established in 2006 to encourage mutual understanding and peace between Palestinians and Israelis. Its programmes enhance the exchange of culture and Israelis. Its programmes enhance the exchange of culture and heritage and establish dialogue as the only solution to conflict. The organisation operates mainly in Palestinian centres and refugee camps where radicalism and hatred may flourish. The AFDD partners with the Peres Center for Peace to run the Twinned Peace Football Schools programme. Palestinian and Israeli children aged 6 to 18 meet separately for football training and peace education, then come together for mixed activities that focus on conflict resolution, dialogue, understanding and football.
