Sports, a Matter of Peace? is an international workshop held by the University Centre Saint-Ignatius Antwerp (UCSIA).

The aim of the conference is to analyse the claim that sport has a constructive mission in contributing to social cohesion, education and global welfare and to examine how this may be achieved.

Four topics will be discussed over two days: sports and community building/social cohesion; sports and (re)education; sports, ethics and business; and the football World Cup in South Africa.
