Become a member

Do you work for a non-profit organisation that uses football as a tool for development in a unique way and in your specific local context? Members of the streetfootballworld Network profit from increased visibility of their local work on regional and global levels. This includes moments of common exchange and many other impulses for their work in the framework of a global agenda that promotes and strengthens local programmes and competence in the field of Development through Football.

Establishing contact

The Berlin-based network management team is currently accepting new applications for membership and evaluating them together with the regional coordinators.

If you are interested in becoming a network or affiliate member, please electronically submit an application letter together with your organisation’s information by email to network@streetfootballworld.org.

What we evaluate

Organisations that are applying for network membership must meet the following criteria:

Social Profit Organisation
Organisations can become network members if they are non-profit, legally registered as well as politically and religiously independent.

Focus on Development through Football
Development through Football must play a central role in the organisation’s sustainable programmes. The programmes must be active in one or more development fields of local relevance (Children’s Rights & Education, Anti-Discrimination & Social Integration, Environmental Protection, Health Promotion and Peace Building) and strive for positive social change.

Interest in and Capacity for Networking
Your organisation must be willing and able to share its knowledge and experience and to exchange with other actors in the field of Development through Football. The organisation must be in the position to allocate resources for the networking process and be interested in its own continual development. Organisations applying for Network membership must therefore have a sustainable structure and work with a long-term outlook.

A detailed description of the membership criteria as well as more information on the functioning of the network can be found in the statutes and by-laws of the network:
