The Peres Center was proud to send a mixed-Palestinian Israeli 'Peace Team' to the 2009 Inter Campus World Cup in September. 19 teams from across the globe participated in this exciting football competition which also included educational and cultural activities as well as a visit to San Sero stadium and the chance to meet FC Inter Milano before the game against Napoli in front of 80,000 spectators.

The event was a great success, although somewhat marred by the refusal of the teams from Iran and Lebanon to play with the Peace Team. However this rejection didn't damp the spirits of the Team for whom the opportunity to meet children from such a diverse array of countries was a once in a lifetime experience for the children who also participate throughout the year in our Twinned Peace Football Schools project.
