Sport dans la Ville (SDLV) offers a sports programme to support underprivileged children in difficult neighbourhoods. The organisation uses sports, primarily football, to encourage young people to avoid antisocial behaviour and to teach them the importance of teamwork, leadership and social integration. Over ten years, SDLV has grown to become France’s largest not-for-profit sports organisation, regularly reaching around 2,500 participants.

SDLV’s activities include a job placement programme and an entrepreneur initiative that helps young people establish their own businesses. SDLV works with national and local governments, corporations and Olympique Lyonnais, and runs exchange programmes with organisations in USA and Brazil.
