Sokak Ligi was founded by the British Council and streetfootballworld network member Street League. It is currently run by the Social Responsibility Organisation with the aim of reintegrating disadvantaged children into society through football. The programme runs in 16 different cities across Turkey, with 7290 young people in 78 teams. Sokak Ligi helps disadvantaged young people develop personally and find their place in society.

The programme follows Street League’s model: participants receive two hours of training (one hour of education and one hour of football training) at least twice a week. The programme is accompanied by a personal and social support programme and regular family and school visits.
