Founded in 2004, the organisation Servicios de Educación y Promoción Juvenil - SEPROJOVEN - actively promotes participatory processes in the personal development of boys and girls and supports the inclusion of indigenous people and migrants. With a variety of arts, sports and other recreational programmes, participants are encouraged to play an active role in the creation of a just and sustainable society based on cross-generational solidarity, gender equality and social inclusion.

In 2009, SEPROJOVEN added football activities as an educational tool to its programmes using fútbol callejero, or fútbol tres, as the main methodology. Projects like the Copa de Fútbol Comunitaria Indigena and programmes in the border region to Nicaragua facilitate the inclusion of indigenous people and migrants into the communities. With a focus on the promotion of human rights, SEPROJOVEN empowers young people to take ownership and the responsibility within their communities to develop and run their own agendas and activities.
