Three fundraisers from England will attempt an audacious challenge in March – to dribble a football to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in eastern Africa.
Dominic Durose, Philip Malley and Simon Baker will attempt to dribble a ball up the continent’s highest mountain, standing at over 19,340ft. Over the last six months the trio have undergone an intensive training regime and have raised more than £8,500 to support Kick4Life’s work in Lesotho.
Inspired by the Kick4Malawi challenge which led to the inception of Kick4Life in 2005, the fundraisers' efforts will enable the charity to fund two HIV positive children through their entire secondary education including school fees for five years, training in HIV prevention, individual mentoring and support into further education and employment.
