Kalim sports academy girl’s team, for the first time participating in the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) premier league week 10.  Kalim girls suffered a defeat 16 – 1 at home ground to Red Arrows currently league leaders.

Matilda Phiri scored the consolation goal for the home team. The participation of the girls in the FAZ league has stirred more interest for the females to join the team in the community.

The team has not only received a warm embracement from the girls but also has brought pride to the community at large. Girls in our community they have been looked down as people who are less productive, but they have been proved wrong by the formation of the team. Though they lost the game they have the room for respect in the community
