Stand Against HIV-Aids
|
GDM participated in World Aids Day in a unique and very enjoyable fashion.
We moved our event to Saturday 4 December to accommodate school exams and 300 kids joined in the activities, which also saw the inauguration of the first football field at Futeco Park. From Under 14’s and Girls through to the final match, all participants had a great time playing football, doing life-skills, eating and having time to get to know each other. All the participants on the day were the regular GDM beneficiaries that work and train in their respective small groups, typically four to five times per week. The even was a celebration, celebrating 2010, the new field which is level and also taking time to remind everyone about the dangers of HIV Aids, but also the hope for those already infected. |
