Fundación Educere was founded in 1997 to provide educational opportunities for the most underprivileged youth of Santiago de Chile. Its main programmes include educational programmes, youth leadership training, scholarships, IT training and community libraries. Educere also supports micro-businesses with consultancy services and engages Chilean companies in tailormade CSR strategies that meet local needs.

Educere uses football to connect young people to its social programmes. Besides traditional football, Educere implements Fútbol Callejero (Street Football) in its Edugol programme to involve marginalised young people on a continuous basis and empower them to become leaders and role models in their communities.
