EPROCAD began as a project in 1994 with the aim to develop youths through sports. Football is used to transform children with low-self esteem and negative self-perception into critical and proactive citizens who are committed to changing their personal lives and collective circumstances. Through the use of the “Fútbol Callejero” (Street Football) method the project builds confidence and prepares the children for challenges in their lives.
“Fútbol Callejero”, a concept used by various organisations within the streetfootballworld network, tries to tap the full potential of football by applying special rules and rituals to the game. In addition, the organisation strives to keep youths with criminal records on the right track, helping them realise and optimise their capabilities. EPROCAD participated at the streetfootballworld festival 06 in Berlin, Germany.
