FOUR COUNTRIES 4 PEACE TOURNAMENT

The tournament of Four country 4 peace was organized by the Association des jeunes Sportif de Kigali "ESPERANCE" in partnership with Football Association of Germany. The tournament was held from 07th -June to 09th-June 2010 in two different regions namely Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Gisenyi in Rwanda. The opening ceremony took place in Goma on 07th-06-2010 at 7h:30Pm, each country was represented by two teams composed by eight players and those teams were from different regions in each country like Kayanza and Kirundo in Burundi, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle and Esperance from Rwanda, Bukavu and Goma in The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Kisoro and Cyanika from Uganda. The opening Ceremony began with the speeches of different organizers and local authorities of Goma, after welcoming all participants and all groups the delegations have passed on the part of drawing of lot to know the teams and their areas of activities between Goma and Gisenyi. The tournament started on 08th-June 2010 at 10h:00Am in the Gisenyi region to continue the activity in the afternoon in Goma city. The duration of the match was 20 minutes and the teams should select a few rules for fair play which should be followed during the game. On the evening of 08th-June, all groups have participated in the cultural evening which was held in the center of vision Jeunesse Nouvelle in Gisenyi city from 7h:00Pm; many groups were invited to present the traditional dances and each country has finally had the opportunity to present their culture in that evening night. The last day of the event has known the fence and the final match which were held in the Cyanika Stadium in Gisenyi city, where all participating team have got the different awards include the T-shirts and balls.
