ESPERANCE IN COOPERATION WITH KICK4LIFE

From 6th to 11th March 2011 , two representative from ESPERANCE (Kigali-Rwanda) will visit KICK4LIFE (Lesotho) in order to share their experiences, the program of the activities and also to build capacity initiative between center host of Football For Hope.
It will be a good opportunity for both organisations (ESPERANCE and KICK4LIFE) to share how to engage children living on the streets into their programs. The focus of this capacity building exercise will also involve training surrounding the child status index, and the exchange of ideas on the use of theatre and drama in social change message delivery. It is hoped that this first initial visit will initiate a long term exchange between the two organisations who are both hosting a football for hope center. The activities will be in line within the operations of the two organisations: ESPERANCE uses sport as a tool for teaching and learning youth how to develop the society. Sport for development evolved out the growing evidence that strengthening the right of youth to play enhances their health development and builds stronger communities. sport is now recognized by many as an effective tool in the pursuit of development and peace including international experts in the fields of development, education, health, sport, economic and conflict resolution. KICK4LIFE uses the universal language of sport to transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the world. KICK4LIFE focuses efforts in Lesotho in Southern Africa, delivering a range of programmes focused on tackling HIV by providing sports based Health education, voluntary HIV testing, life skills development and support into education and employment. Lesotho has the third highest HIV prevalence in the world and hundreds of thousands of children have been orphaned by the disease. KICK4LIFE is committed to playing an important part in addressing this crisis.KICK4LIFE is also passionate about promoting and raising awareness of the use of sport for positive change.
