A RISK OF UNWANTED PREGNANCY-A RISK OF CONTRACTING HIV

Obviously, when there is a risk of unwanted pregnancy, there is also a risk of contacting HIV or another sexually transmitted infection. In general, young people are also more vulnerable to HIV. They are misinformed, are ashamed to address issues of sexuality and contraception and do not dare go to the clinic of pharmacy, shopping  to buy condoms. On the other hand, condom use is still strongly linked to sexual promiscuity. However, young people often do not have a partner and experiment sets on sexuality, find alcohol and parties.

This low level of knowledge was much more noticed in women than in men and to the majority of youth who regularly frequent Kimisagara youth Center. This is all the more necessary they can be corrected by the formal and informal education(awareness). Compared to the other characteristics, the 2005 DHS(Demographic and Health Survey:DHS 2005) showed that women are most affected by HIV than men with prevention of 3.6% against 2.3%.

As stated in the  objectives of ESPERANCE Organisation which is focusing on the integration of children and youth in programs of social and economic development through formal and informal methods using football as a tool in the fighting against AIDS and also providing the skills which goes to the best health in general; ESPERANCE provides annual training for its members and the players after finishing their training, this year the training will focused on reproductive health and HIV prevention and it is organising also a tournament of football on HIV awareness, association members of KImisagara Youth Center and even younger who live in the surrounding region will have the chance to participate in the whole tournament.
