In a nation where less than 30% of the population is educated, Diambars has set out to educate youths, who in turn will relay their knowledge to friends, family and communities. Its goal is to combine sport and education (general, technical, and professional) in a manner that will instil work ethics, discipline, and confidence in the students.
Each year the Diambars Academy takes on 48 street children, providing them a home and education for the next five years. For the organisation and its volunteers, the joy of watching these children develop their skills on and off the pitch is immeasurable. Diambars participated at the streetfootballworld festival 06 in Berlin, Germany.
