Defensores del Chaco’s objective is to contribute to social change by creating grassroots leaders and sustainable projects that address problems affecting the community.

Organised in a national league, young Argentinians play Fútbol Callejero (Street Football), a method that taps into football’s full potential by applying special rules to the game that tie in to social and community-based issues. Apart from sporting activities and leadership training, the institution also organises workshops on health issues and other activities in its cultural centre. Through cooperation with schools, community centres and other institutions, Defensores del Chaco provides volunteer and job opportunities for its participants.
