Breakthrough Chiparamba

Football For Hope reflections

Football For Hope

It was an exciting journey for our boys and girls who participated at the first ever Football For Hope 2010 event in Alexandra, South Africa. For all the boys girls and the leaders, it was a dream come true to be part of such a prestigious event that kept the world supporting their favourite team and provided a chance for youths with less privileged backgrounds to participate. The Zambia team, led by Kangwa Kaluba had a lot more people to thank other than the organisers. Zambezi Airline provided free airline tickets for the entire team, Grassoroot Soccer provided the most important life skill education during the FFH event and most importantly the parents and guardians to the boys and girls.

William Phiri one of the boys from Breakthrough Chiparamba said that he never thought he would experience such a great event that included other forms of life skills. He was also happy to make new friends from other countries. William cannot wait to share his experience with his grandmother, sister and friends at Breakthrough Chiparamba.

As Breakthrough Chiparamba, we would like to thank streetfootballworld, FIFA and the Zambia Street Football Network for the job well done. It was indeed KE NAKO.
