Founded in 2002, Asociación Emprender Mendoza (AsEM) promotes social endeavours among youths and adults. Since 2006, AsEM utilises the “Fútbol Callejero” (Street Football) methodology as an instrument of social intervention. Together with other community orientated organisations they organise street football events, workshops and courses for young leaders in different neighbourhoods. AsEM forms part of the Argentinean “Liga Nacional de Fútbol Callejero” (National Street Football League) and is responsible for the promotion of the League in the Mendoza province.

In the framework of the League, the organisation creates spaces where the young participants can practise their leadership and conflict resolution skills. It promotes inclusion and social integration, brings together families and neighbours and facilitates moments for the exchange of opinions and knowledge in order to positively transform the community.
