Asociación Civil Andar (ACA) focuses on the social integration of handicapped members of society. The organisation has developed a broad portfolio of activities for its participants including sporting, educational, and cultural activities. For the past ten years, Asociación Civil Andar has been successfully implementing the “Liga de Fútbol Especial”. With this league, ACA has proven to be a pioneer on the national level in promoting sports with handicapped individuals.

The organisation offers 10 leagues for its participants, including 2 girls’ football leagues, 7 boys’ and 1 league in which handicapped and non-handicapped participants play together on a team. This is the only league of its kind in Argentina and integrates some 700 participants from 40 organisations along with over 300 volunteers. In the “Liga de Fútbol Especial”, football is used as a means to promote the physical and intellectual development of the participants, as well as their recognition as fully integrated members of society.
