Albion in the Community and Football Outreach coach Dan Lawson, who also happens to be the founder of Football Club of Canacona, is what some people call 'a nutter':

From December the 12th, he is going to run 380 Miles down the South&Western coast of India, from Mumbai to Chaudi, in ten days... 38 miles a day, in 30 + degree sun, braving mosquitos, heat exhaustion, sun burn and dehydration.

But he is an experienced runner, and he is spurred on by the knowledge that this is all for a great cause: the Development of the 'Football Club of Canacona', a Football for Development organisation in Goa - 'where everyone can play'.

Dan says: "yes, it's going to be hard... running nearly one and a half marathons a day, in that temperature for ten days straight - I'm under no illusions... but we have already raised nearly £2000 and we want to raise more!"
