Mifalot Wins Globes and Schwab Foundation Award

Orenstein who founded Mifalot won the prestigious Globes and Schwab Foundation
award for Social Entrepreneurship 2011. The Social Entrepreneur of the Year in Israel
was established to recognize outstanding social entrepreneurs in Israel as part
of the initiative of Globes Newspaper
and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. This prestigious
prize is awarded to entrepreneurs working fervently to achieve the objectives
with constant initiatives, combined with bright business methods, and the
courage to be innovative with the implementation of past experience. The Award Ceremony was held at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv, with various business leaders such as Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz and Histadrut chairman Ofer Eini. During the emotional ceremony, the CEO of Globes and the Representative of the Schwab foundation presented the award to Sami Sagol, Moishik Theumim and Motti Orenstein in recognition for the work among the approximately 20,000 children in communities of Jews and non - Jews around Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. This award was also in recognition for their ability to use football as a tool to convey messages and values through programs that combine sports with social activity and education.
