City Soccer in the Community was founded in 2004 to give public school children the opportunity to play football, stay healthy and build their self-confidence.
Reaching out to more than 3000 participants weekly, the organisation serves at-risk young people with programmes that use football to teach critical life skills, tackle childhood obesity and help integrate individuals from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Through regular physical education sessions, after-school programmes, community leagues and festivals, coaches engage with children to deliver a curriculum that seeks to set standards in character, academics and athletics in a supportive and positive environment.
