South African Homeless Street Soccer (SAHSS) utiliza el fútbol para involucrar a los niños y jóvenes que viven en las calles en actividades positivas que les ayudarán a alcanzar una vida mejor. Jóvenes de 12 redes locales en la región de Ciudad del Cabo se reúnen de manera semanal. Cada equipo viene de una organización comunitaria con una rica historia de programas de asistencia a personas de la calle.

En cooperación con estas organizaciones SAHSS utiliza el fútbol para fomentar el desarrollo de individuos sanos, enseñar valores positivos y habilidades para la vida, fortalecer la educación, prevenir enfermedades mediante la educación (especialmente el VIH/SIDA), y proporcionar salud y bienestar.
