German Street Football Network

streetfootballworld develops and coordinates the German Street Football Network in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and the German Youth Football Foundation. The network brings together organisations from Germany that successfully use football as an instrument for social work and the integration of young people.

Bringing the members into the spotlight
Building on experiences from the network, streetfootballworld is developing a platform for enabling cooperation and initiating joint activities. The aim is not just to develop an umbrella organisation but, more importantly, to accumulate expertise and develop a quality management system based on project monitoring and evaluation.

Development through Football and the German organisations active in the field will be presented to both a specialised audience and the general public through the network. Initiatives using football as an instrument for social development will thereby receive increased recognition for their work and attract potential sponsors.

Spectators welcome! Football and social work in action
At the annual Street Football Festival, young participants of the member organisations come together – both on the pitch and in workshops. The Festival offers spectators the chance to witness first-hand the potential of football for social development among young people.

The development of the network is being conducted in close cooperation with streetfootballworld Network member KICKFAIR e.V. The first network meeting took place in December 2007 in Berlin.
