In August 2011 streetfootballworld received the million-euro UEFA Monaco Charity Award, which honours outstanding organisations that use sport to achieve social change.

365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas 2009
Germany – Land of Ideas named streetfootballworld one if its 365 Landmarks in the Land of Ideas.  The initiative, in partnership with Deutsche Bank and under the patronship of German President Horst Köhler, honours the organisations, companies, institutes and projects that best represent Germany’s multifaceted potential as a place of innovation.  streetfootballworld will be highlighted as a selected Landmark on May 28, 2009.

Ashoka Fellowship
In November 2007, streetfootballworld founding member and Managing Director Jürgen Griesbeck was named an Ashoka Fellow. Through its Fellowship Programme, Ashoka honours and supports social entrepreneurs whose innovative solutions to social problems and unwavering commitment prove that compassion, creativity and collaboration are important forces for change.  Several members of the streetfootballworld Network are also Ashoka Fellows.

Each year, the FIFA Committee for Fair Play and Social Responsibility honours an individual or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution for fair play in football.  festival 06 was a proud recipient of this prize in 2006.
