World Conference SCIENCE & SOCCER  /  Convention

Scientific studies on football on grassroots and professional level

The Research Institute for Sport and Exercise Sciences, in association with Think Fitness is hosting the inaugural World Conference on Science and Soccer on behalf of the International Steering Group on Science and Football. The event will take place on May 15th and 16th in Liverpool, UK. This conference aims to develop the already successful thematic content included in congresses such as the World Congress of Science and Football by focussing the subject matter on Association Football or soccer.

The conference is aimed at individuals who have a specific interest in the scientific study and/or the practical performance of soccer players at either grass roots or the elite professional level. These include academics, full/part-time coaches, strength and conditioning specialists, physiotherapists and sports medics.
The conference will include invited presentations from internationally recognised scientists and practitioners. Offers of formal and poster presentations are invited for the open sessions of the Conference.
